Iranian animation 'Polychrome' has been set to take part at the 2018 World Festival of Animated Film Zagreb in Croatia.
The animation will go on the Croatian screen at a section titled 'Family Program 2 - On Music' on June 7 and 9, 2018.
Directed by Amin Malekian and Negareh Halimi, 'Polychrome' is a short musical animation in stop motion technique.
Halimi is a stop-motion filmmaker and visual development artist and Malekian is a sculptor and writer. Malekian has a BA in sculpture and an MA in animation direction, both from the University of Tehran. 'Polychrome' is their latest short film.
The World Festival of Animated Film Zagreb, also known as Animafest Zagreb, is a film festival entirely dedicated to animated film held annually in Zagreb, Croatia.
Initiated by the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA), the event was established in 1972.
The Animafest is the second oldest animation festival in the World, after the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France.
Festival awards include prizes given in the Short film Competition, Feature film Competition, Student Film Competition, Children Films, Site-specific competition and Croatian competition.
The 2018 edition of the Animafest Zagreb has been slated for June 4-9.
